What Is Safer Drivers Education?

In July 2013, the NSW Government established a driving programmes to assist young drivers under 25. It attempts to avoid traffic accidents and assist drivers in identifying road dangers. Is the effort worthwhile? What is the significance of the name? We’ll look at the meaning of this moniker and how it pertains to safer driving.

Introduction

The Safer Drivers Course is intended to educate trainee drivers under 25 about independent driving when they receive their temporary licenses.

This training will teach you how to decrease road risks by emphasizing safe driving habits. It also assists you in dealing with situations such as having friends or being in a hurry. According to a study, attending a safer driving course is an excellent approach to teaching young drivers how to drive safely and operate a vehicle in a hazardous environment. Drivers must manage many deliveries and spend significant time on the road. We put them through rigorous training. A safer driver course is an excellent way for new motorists to obtain their license.

The Safer Driver Course will also teach you about safe driving distances, speed control, danger awareness, and gap selection. These are the most critical factors that parents, professional drivers, and supervising drivers need to address.

Who Should Take The Safer Drivers Course?

You must also:

  • You must have a current learner’s permit.
  • It would be best if you were under the age of 25.
  • You must have 50 hours of on-road driving records (excluding any bonus hours), with some night driving included.

Acquiring Credit Hours

By finishing this course, you will become a safer driver. You will also gain 20 hours of additional log book credit. You will need to complete hundred hours of supervised driving outside the training.

The course is only available once. This implies you may only subtract the bonus log book credit for 20 hours.

If you take organized lessons with an NSW driving instructor, you will receive a 3-for-1 incentive.

Modules Of Instruction

The NSW Safer Drivers Course is divided into 2 modules:

Theory Module 1

Learners participate in meaningful peer group conversations to foster safer driving practices. Our trainers lead these workshops, ensuring that learners leave with good comprehension and awareness of critical themes and practices that can enhance road safety.

Participants learn much from these sessions, even if they are not tightly supervised.

Module 2: Application

Module 2 allows learners to put principles gained in Module 1 into practice with the assistance of a coach. The trainer assists the trainee in managing their driving hazards and encourages them to practice safe driving behaviors.

Module 2 is typically finished within a month following Module 1. Module 2 can, however, be completed later, depending on availability.

Practical lessons are required for students to benefit from the information and be better prepared.

How To Select A School

Here’s how it works. The NSW Government created this course. However, it contains no lessons. You must select a driving school with many excellent sites near you.
