Each network device connected to the internet has its unique identifier, an internet protocol (IP).

An IP address consists of a series of numbers separated by periods. There are essentially four digits in it. Such as, 192.158.1.38 is an IP address with four numbers. The set consists of 255 numbers. Each of these variables has a value from 0 to 255. IP addresses range from 0.0.0.0 up to 255.255.255.255.

The first thing you should know about an IP address is that an IP address can not be assigned to a device. To get your domain, you have to pay a small fee to ICANN to register the domain. Moreover, an IP address consists of two formats.
